Services
What newflare produces for television newsrooms, how an order moves from first enquiry to delivery, and what we need from you to start.
Five services built around the daily news cycle
newflare works with television newsrooms from a base in Chichester. We shoot developing stories, cut them to broadcast standard, cover live events and train crews. We also look at how stories travel through a newsroom and where time gets lost along the way.
Breaking News Video Packages
Field shooting and fast edits of developing stories, delivered ready for broadcast.
Newsroom Workflow Consulting
We review how stories move from pitch to air and suggest practical changes to save time.
Field Camera Techniques Training
Short practical sessions for reporters and camera crews on shooting fast-moving events.
Rapid Post-Production and Editing
Quick turnaround editing, captioning and graphics for daily news bulletins.
Live Event and Festival Coverage
Multi-camera coverage of concerts, festivals and public events for news segments.
Most clients combine two or three of these. Tell us what your bulletin needs and we will agree the scope in writing before any work begins.
ContactFrom first enquiry to delivered package
Every job starts with a short conversation and ends with files in the format your newsroom uses. The steps below stay the same whether the job is a single breaking story or a longer run of work.
Breaking News Video Packages
Briefing before the crew leaves
We agree the angle, the interviews you want and the length of the finished piece. A short brief on the day saves reshoots later, so give us a contact on your desk.
Shooting on location
A camera operator and, where the story needs it, a second person attend the scene. We shoot cutaways and clean audio alongside the main footage so the editor has options.
Cutting to broadcast standard
Priya or a member of her edit team assembles the package, adds captions and checks it against your technical specification. Tell us your house style on graphics and lower thirds.
Delivery to your desk
Files are sent in the format you name. If your newsroom needs a version for web or a shorter cut for a headline slot, say so at the quotation stage.
