Privacy Policy

Which information this website receives, why we keep it and how you stay in control of it.

This privacy policy explains how newflare (newflare.net) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit this website or contact us. We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, and limit data collection to what is needed to run the site and answer your requests.

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is newflare, 14 Orchard Mews, East Row, Chichester PO19 1TH, United Kingdom. You can reach us by email at hello@newflare.net or by phone at 01243 530418. The policy covers the pages published under newflare.net and the enquiries we receive through them.

Cookies and browser storage

This website keeps stored entries to a minimum. It does not use advertising cookies, it does not follow visitors across other sites, and an answer you give to a cookie notice stays in your own browser.

Your browser shows which entries this website has left, lets you remove them and can refuse new ones. If you block the entries the pages need, some functions of the site may stop working as intended.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as statutory retention periods require. After that it is deleted or the reference to a person is removed.

Technical log entries disappear automatically after a short time. Correspondence is kept while it may still be needed, and records that tax or commercial rules require us to keep are held for the period those rules set.

Service providers and transfers abroad

We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with the providers who host this website and handle our email, acting on our instructions under a data processing agreement, and with authorities where the law obliges us.

If a provider operates servers or support staff abroad, data may leave the country in which we are established. We work only with providers who commit to the level of protection that the applicable law requires for such transfers.

Your rights and how to use them

You can ask us at any time which data we store about you, request its correction or deletion, have the processing restricted, object to it or receive a copy in a common electronic format. Consent that you have given may be withdrawn at any time; the withdrawal applies from then on.

You can use your rights by writing to hello@newflare.net. Before we answer, we may ask for a detail that confirms your identity, so that data is not disclosed to the wrong person; the answer follows within the period the law provides and costs you nothing.

If you believe that we handle your data unlawfully, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), in addition to any other remedy.

Data we collect

Opening this website leaves a few technical traces with our hosting provider: the address of your device, the moment of the visit, the page opened and basic details about the browser. We use them only to run the site safely and to find the cause of technical errors.

Writing to us by email or through the form means that your contact details and the content of your message reach us. We use them to understand your request and to answer it, and we ask only for what a reply requires.

Why we process data

We use data to keep this website online and safe, to reply to the messages we receive, to prepare and carry out agreements with clients and to keep the records our business requires.

Depending on the situation, we rely on your consent, on an agreement with you or the steps that come before it, on a duty imposed on us, or on our legitimate interest in a safe and working website. If you leave out the contact details we ask for, we may not be able to reply.

Updates

We revise this notice whenever the way we handle data changes. The current wording is always published here, and the date at the top tells you when it was last updated.

Each new version replaces the previous one without a separate notice. Where a change concerns processing that depends on your consent, we obtain fresh consent before it applies.
